The first step in your bionic limb journey is to register on our website. Once registered, you will be contacted by a member of our qualification team to ensure our products is right for you. After choosing the perfect bionic limb we can either set up a video call with our in-house prosthetist so they can answer questions, and if funding support is required you will be directed to our funding support team.
If you choose the TrueLimbs clinic in 10th of Ramadan City, you will be guaranteed to get the lowest possible price. During the appointment, we will cover all your prosthetic needs and go through social, medical, and prosthetic history as well as get a better understanding of your goals and how you think the TrueLimbs product will impact your life. Also, as part of the appointment our in-house prosthetist will assess your limb presentation, determine muscle sites for bionic hand electrodes to read and then place the trial kit on your arm. These are all non-invasive practises that will allow you to get an idea of how the BIONIC HAND M+ would work on your arm.
During your appointment, we will place a TrueHand trial kit which will allow you to practice muscle contractions needed to open and close the hand. Once we find the best muscle sites to place the TrueHand electrodes and you have had plenty of time to practice, we will get measurements of your limb as well as either a scan or a cast so that we can begin to make a TrueHand liner fits you perfectly.
After scanning + we are using special software that we created to make the socket in a few minutes and check the socket wirh very advanced software then printing the socket and check that the liner fit is perfect and you will able to use your prosthetic hand after (2 h) from starting the processing. you can undertake a number of activities while wearing it. we note any changes or pressure points that need to be adjusted in the final liner that will fit inside your TrueHand. We will also make sure there is adequate suspension so the final TrueHand stays on your arm comfortably, while giving you a good range of motions. we can test the final length to make sure it looks good and you are happy with it..
The final appointment will be the day you get to take home your TrueHand . We will assess the overall fit of the final TrueHand and make any minor adjustments as needed. We will then go through a training session to make sure you understand how to operate the TrueHand and ensure it is functioning properly.
After the final delivery of the TrueHand we offer remote follow up appointments. These can be used as additional training sessions or to answer any questions that may come up. If further adjustments are needed after the final fitting we will also offer in person adjustment and follow up appointments if you would prefer. We suggest having the first remote video follow up about 2 weeks after you take the TrueHand home.
